Ameren

We work with current and previous Ameren Corporation (ticker symbol: AEE) employees. The comprehensive and multifaceted compensation package for its employees, including higher-level executives can be difficult to navigate, especially some of the choices for the Supplemental Retirement Plan.

Here's an overview:

1. Retirement Benefits:

Pension Plan: Ameren provides a defined benefit pension plan, known as the Ameren Retirement Plan, which is 100% employer-funded. Employees become fully vested after three years of service. For union employees, specifics can vary based on collective bargaining agreements.

401(k) Plan: Employees are eligible to participate in Ameren’s 401(k) plan immediately upon employment, with a company match on contributions. A variety of investment funds are available, allowing employees to tailor their retirement savings to their individual goals.

2. Executive Compensation:

Base Salary: Executive base salaries are reviewed annually.

Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP): Executives are eligible for annual incentives based on metrics such as earnings per share (EPS), safety performance, and operational goals.

Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP): This plan rewards executives with stock-based compensation, primarily tied to Ameren's total shareholder return over a three-year period relative to peers.

Supplemental Retirement Plan: To provide a competitive retirement income level, Ameren offers a Supplemental Retirement Plan for certain management employees, ensuring benefits are not limited by IRS caps.

3. Additional Benefits:

Health Savings Account (HSA): For employees enrolled in HSA-eligible medical plans, Ameren contributes annually—$650 for individual coverage and $1,300 for family coverage.

Life Insurance: Basic life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage are provided, with options for employees to purchase additional coverage.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA): Employees can participate in dependent care and healthcare FSAs, allowing them to use pre-tax dollars for qualified expenses.

Paid Time Off: Ameren offers paid holidays, vacation time, and medical leave, with allowances increasing based on length of service.

Educational Assistance: The company reimburses tuition and some fees for approved accredited degree programs, up to $5,250 for full-time employees annually.

It's important to note that specific details of compensation and benefits can vary based on individual agreements, roles, and tenure. For the most accurate and personalized information, employees should consult Ameren's Human Resources department or refer to official company documentation.
